Now it's only about 9 hours befor we go into the year of 2551 here in Thailand..
It has been a great christmas, and I expect it to be a great new years celebration to. the instructions from the leader of the orphanage were clear: " Don't allow the kids to go to sleep befor after 2400.. Play the whole nigth.. so it's going to be interesting..

Thankful

I have decided to change my blog language to english. This is because I have made many english speaking friends in Australia and Thailand. I am not sure for how long I am going to write english, but for a while at least half of my blogposts are gonna be in english. I will probably write a lot of mistakes, and when I do that, feel free to correct me..

It is only 3 days before christmas now. Today we were in a school telling about why we celebrate christmas, most of the kids had never heard the message before, so it was really good to get the opportunity to tell them. The teachers in the school welcomed us warmly, and as all other Thai-people, they offered us the best they have. The fact that Thai-people are very friendly makes it a lot easier to be a missionary down here. And even though I miss Norway, my family and our christmas traditions a lot, this christmas is going to be good. It is gonna be a christmas that makes a difference for eternity. When we are visiting thai-people and telling them about Jesus that is powerful. Why would we want to go away from our home just to tell them about this, there must be something about it.

When I come home to Norway the 20.th of January I am going to work for a while. And then I will either go to the army og I will go back to Australia in July to do a basic leadership school. I don't know yet, but either way I need to work for some time, and I am trying to figuer out how I can make the most money in a short period of time. Any ideas?

engelsklaerer og storeter!

Jeg har blitt engelsklaerer og storeter. Dette kommer av at Thailand har mye god mat og lite engelskunnskaper. Vi holder til paa et barnehjem i Shai-Praikan i Nord Thailand. Hver kveld underviser jeg engelsk paa barnehjemmet, og i tillegg har vi underivst en god del engelsk paa en skole.

Thailand har vist seg aa vaere en fantastisk plass. Det er saa billig her at jeg nesten vurderer det som gratis. Eks: Flaske vann: 1.50, pakke tyggis, 1,50, fin skjorte, ca 33kr. stort maaltid paa fin restaurant 10kr. En god tallerken med banansplitt og en kaffe ca 5 kr. osv..

I kveld skal vi se finalen i The sea games. Thailand mot Myanmar, og i morgen skal viri paa elefanter. Mandag-onsdag skal vi opp i fjellene og besoeke fjell-stammer... Saa skal vi slaa oss til ro med engelskundervisning, forefallende arbeid og julefeiring paa barnehjemmet.

Teamet vaart storkoser seg, bibelen er uendelig full av visdom, og Gud er god!
